Jessi Anderson

I’m a founder and community builder exploring how connection, belonging, and social wellness actually work in modern life. From stages and podcasts to building Harvi in public.

who i am

I’ve spent my career building, studying, and facilitating community, from large-scale memberships and national conferences to intimate, real-life gatherings designed to help people actually connect. I’ve worked behind the scenes shaping how communities grow and what turns a room full of strangers into something that feels like belonging.

Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how relationships quietly shape careers, confidence, mental health, and opportunity, often more than strategy, talent, or timing alone.

Now, I’m building Harvi publicly to explore what modern community actually needs to work, sharing lessons and insights in real time as someone deeply in the work. I don’t talk about community as a buzzword. I talk about the messy, human, real-life side of connection and how we can design it better.

why this work matters now

  • Modern life has optimized productivity, convenience, and wellness, while quietly ignoring social health.

  • Loneliness isn’t a personal failure. It’s a design problem.

  • Most events don’t create connection; they create attendance.

  • I speak about what actually helps people connect and how leaders, founders, and communities can design experiences that foster trust, belonging, and real human connection.

Speaking, Panels & Media

I speak on community, connection, marketing, social media, and AI exploring how people build relationships, grow audiences, and navigate modern life in an increasingly digital world.

what i speak on:

  • Designing Connection in a Disconnected World

Why modern life makes connection harder and what leaders can do to build trust and belonging in real ways.

  • Community Isn’t a Product, It’s a Practice

Why community doesn’t scale like software, why trust comes first, and what actually sustains human connection over time.

  • Why Networking Is Broken (and What Replaces It)

A reframe on how relationships really form, and how events and communities can be designed for connection instead of performance.

  • Building in Public: What Transparency Actually Teaches Us

Lessons from building Harvi publicly, including what works, what doesn’t, and why honesty builds stronger communities.

  • Social Media as a Relationship Tool (Not a Distribution Channel)

How to use digital platforms to deepen connection instead of dilute it

building in public
